9/4/2023 0 Comments Sofia the firstShe must learn to rule as its crown princess. For those who don't know, here's rundown: "Princess Elena has saved her magical kingdom, Avalor, from an evil sorceress with the help from Princess Sofia. I'm going to assume that we're getting a mixed family dynamic here from this show, which should be fun to see.Įlena Of Avalor: Now this is the second spinoff for Sofia The First, the first being Elena Of Avalor. And that's not getting into how every human character lives with some kind of vehicle. Firebuds has Bo come from a Filipino American and Jewish background, and both Violet and Axl have same sex parents. Elena Of Avalor has Elena, her younger sister Isabel, her cousin Esteban, and her grandparents Luisa and Francisco. Sofia The First has Sofia and her biological mother Miranda, her stepfather Roland, and her step siblings Amber and James. Mixed Family Dynamic: A thing that's been shown in all three of Craig's shows is to have some kind of mixed family dynamic. The fact that "attended" is mentioned means that this new show will take place after the finale, whether it's just a few months/years down the line, or maybe even a big time skip. The protagonist for this series will most likely be someone who was Sofia's age for most of the show, a young girl, who's trying to navigate royal life. Unless there's some event involving alumni, they won't be the main focus here. Since Royal Prep is said to be the main setting, or will at least play a bigger role, this means that Sofia and her friends and family won't be the protagonists here. Royal Prep: So what's the premise for this potential series? It goes like this: "The possible Sofia spinoff would be set at Royal Prep Academy, a school for princes and princesses in the kingdom of Enchancia that Sofia and her step-siblings James and Amber attended." That's all we know about, but there's something to take from this. We don't know much about this new show, but I think we can guess what it could be like based on trends from other Disney Junior shows over the years, as well as Craig's own works. However, I've had some thoughts about what this new spinoff could be like, and I want to get them out there. The show was pretty well written and definitely exceeded expectations from what one would accept from a show with a young target audience. I did not expect that, but I'm not complaining. On November 17, 2022, it was announced that Craig Gerber was making another Sofia The First spinoff.
